Spec. David Fahey Memorial Bridge
Just prior to Memorial Day NYS Sen. Terrence Murphy dedicated a bridge in
Yorktown honoring the supreme sacrifice of local resident and US Army
Spec. David Fahey Jr., who was killed in 2011 in Afghanistan by a IED.
Our Post's Color Guard joined with the Fire Department's to lead the
procession.
Town Supv Michael Grace, Legislator Testa, and NYS Sen Terrence
Murphy with other town officials.
The Yorktown Fire Department hoisted the Colors beautifully as a
backdrop to the ceremony.
Yorktown Supervisor Michael Grace addresses the crowd
Our Post Legionnaires and other veterans were in attendance.
All turned to see the unveiling.
A constant reminder to all who pass of the price our military
members pay for the freedoms we all enjoy.
