On May 20, 2024, our Yorktown Post welcomed the new members to our ‘Post Family’ as the Westchester County American Legion Auxiliary swore in the new members of our Yorktown American Legion Auxiliary Unit #1009. Back in 2006 the last two members of our Auxiliary Unit turned in their charter and the Unit closed. Today the Unit has all new members with ties to the Post veterans and is a wonderful addition to our Post family along with our Sons of The American Legion Squadron #1009.

Membership in The American Legion Auxiliary is made up of the
- Spouses (male or female) of US veterans eligible for membership in The American Legion
- Sisters of US veterans eligible for membership in The American Legion
- Daughters and Granddaughters of US veterans eligible for membership in The American Legion
